You probably have heard of KETO- and you probably see all kinds of “Keto Friendly” products.
Don’t waste your money.
They will very likely kick you out of ketosis- and even if they do not- they will most definitely do things to you that your body does not need to happen.
Most of these baked goods type products have zero quantifiable nutrition- and will spike your blood sugar if you are fighting obesity/prediabetes’type 2 and of course “Fatty-Fat”.
The reason you are looking to go on what the unlearned call “The starvation diet”- is simple. Until your fat cells regenerate- and your body is completely healed- (which will take years- even after you “lose weight”) you want as much of that ectopic fat to exit the organs they are clogging up.
There are lots of great websites about KETO and LCHF (low carb high fat diets) and many of them sell products.
CHEAT DEATH, NOT YOURSELF.
.
Do not look for supplements to help you get into ketosis- find yourself some real, quality whole foods- and take in fewer than 20 grams of carbs per day.
Do this every day, and you will start seeing the fat pounds melt away, you will see lower blood sugar and all of your metabolic markers will improve.
Before you attempt Keto- research it- Dietdoctor.com and other sites are excellent- and I do not want to copy what they have already spent lots of time and energy doing. I will not explain ketogenesis here- simply because there is enough out there- but I will confirm that it is the only real option you will have to lose fat. And wringing the fat out of your cells is what has to happen, so that the macrophages that are attempting to clear the damaged, dead and hypertrophied cells can more effectively do their jobs.
I will write more about the “Real Keto” instead – real means the most natural food you can buy- the optimal foods. Love them or hate them- they must be consumed for you to be successful.
I ate a half barbecue chicken today- (dry- meaning NO sauce) with a side of broccoli and just some salt. 2 large glasses of unsweetened iced tea- with squeezed lemon.
My blood sugar is 99, and has been there all day. My average used to be 266.
Eating a half chicken and a side of broccoli is pretty damned filling. But commercial grown chicken is crap and sub-optimal. See the next post.
Real Food.
