What exactly is ectopic fat?

TG is triglycerides- and the definition here- while is fair- is incomplete.
And because it does not allow for adipose tissue to have excess TG’s- it misses the whole point. There is little to no thought about the fact that both excessive blood sugar and excessive triglycerides are part of the same problem.
Excess blood glucose is converted to glycogen and then into triglycerides by the liver. The process is called DNL. De Novo Lipogenesis.
About 75% of all TG in the body come from this process.

The statement above- cut and pasted and edited from the first choice on google- is flat out wrong.
The fats that you eat do not comprise of any significant portion of the fat your body creates via DNL.

The reality? Your doctor knows what DNL is. Your nutritionist may know- but they do not put one and one together- they tell us to lay off animal fat- and used to tell us to eat margarine (trans fats) which have been removed from the market- so you can understand why we go to a dietician- restrict Calories and end up losing weight by attempting to suppress hunger- and the overwhelming majority of us get fatter.
The truth is written in the above snippet- but it is hidden and not specific.
Allow me to clarify this- because if you learn it, you will know it- and understand what you need to do about it.
Let’s look at fructose- high fructose corn syrup- an unnatural super-glucose and triglyceride nuclear bomb of energy- which we drink in massive quantities.

There is evidence from both human and animal studies that fructose is a more potent inducer of hepatic lipogenesis than glucose
Sugar-sweetened beverage consumption is a risk factor for cardiometabolic diseases
A major source of added sugars are sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) (Johnson et al. 2009, Malik & Hu 2022). Their consumption has been linked not only to the development of obesity but also to its complications such as type 2 diabetes, NAFLD, and cardiovascular disease (Malik & Hu 2022). Prospective cohort studies from the USA and the UK found an association between high SSB consumption and an increased risk of type 2 diabetes independently of obesity (Imamura et al. 2015). Similarly, studies confirmed that habitual SSB consumption is associated with a dose-dependent increase in the risk of dyslipidemia and coronary heart disease (Te Morenga et al. 2014, Yin et al. 2021). Importantly, studies showed that habitual SSB consumption has a dose-dependent effect on the risk of NAFLD (Ouyang et al. 2008, Chen et al. 2019) and that SSB intake in early childhood is associated with the later development of hepatic steatosis in adulthood (Sekkarie et al. 2021). In addition to metabolic abnormalities, there is evidence of a link between SSB consumption and breast cancer, pancreatic and prostate cancer, and colorectal cancer (Malik & Hu 2022).

Now while this particular study proves that glucose is more than marginally better than fructose- the sheer amount of glucose we ingest and create from the current high processed carb food chain in “civilized” countries created a condition where we ingest supraphysiological amounts of energy- which cause our “fatty-Fat” to happen.

They have known about this for 50 years.
There is no doubt in my mind how i became obese and developed Type 2 Diabetes. I was drinking 2 2 liters of coca cola per day.

The stark reality is that they should not put this stuff in our food chain.
It is pervasive and proved to be a huge problem.
Add to it- the problem of poor quality of food- and industrially manufactured seed oils and frying- and we have a one-two punch that causes fatty-fat to become exponentially more dangerous.
See the pages on Bad Seed.
As in bad seed oils.
